Seattle author at Darvill’s Bookstore

On April 17, former Seattle Weekly editor Knute (Skip) Berger will be at Darvill’s Bookstore at 7 p.m. to talk about his new book “Pugetopolis: A Mossback Takes on Growth Addicts, Weather Wimps, and the Myth of Seattle Nice.”

The book’s essays are about what’s fake and foolish in the life of greater Puget Sound. From cruise ships fouling the waters of Elliott Bay to the myth of Seattle nice to the vanishing sense of regional identity.

A third-generation Seattleite, Berger writes with the intimate knowledge of a lifelong insider and someone who cares about the fate of the city.
