A free concert in memory of jazzman Willie Thomas will be on Sunday, Sept. 22, 6.30 p.m. at the Orcas Center. Help us make this a great concert by reserving your free ticket through the center.

Come celebrate the life and passion of Willie Thomas, the jazz trumpet man who lived and breathed jazz for 75 years. He was not just “a legend in his own mind,” as he would jokingly say. Audiences were mesmerized when he put that brass horn to his lips. We loved him and his quirky sense of humor and want you to join us along with local and visiting musicians who all want to play in his memory. See a little memorabilia, hear a few words from long distant friends, and listen to one of his earliest recordings.
