Community Dinner at OCS

Orcas Christian School invites the community to come together for a night of food, fellowship, and fiesta at its annual Community Dinner on Thursday, May 8. The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the OCS High School Cafeteria.

All are welcome to enjoy a free Mexican-themed meal lovingly prepared by Heather Simms, former chef at the beloved island restaurant Bilbo’s. Simms brings her culinary expertise and flair to the event, which is expected to draw between 400 and 500.

The evening promises spice, community, and connection—a true celebration of island togetherness. This yearly gathering has become a cherished tradition on Orcas, allowing residents of all ages to share a meal and connect in an inclusive atmosphere.

According to event organizers, “It’s about bringing people together and we love seeing neighbors from all parts of the island enjoying a meal side by side.”
