Celebrate being fully human at KindlingsFest

KindlingsFest is a celebration of art and ideas where they intersect with the spiritual. This four-day event provides morning lectures on various topics exploring the author C.S. Lewis and “The Art of Being Fully Human,” with Dr. Jerry Root, leading C. S. Lewis expert and editor of “The Quotable Lewis.” The Fest also has entertainment each evening at the Bag End Cafe with the irrepressible Nigel Goodwin, British actor and arts advocate.

KindlingsFest is a celebration of art and ideas where they intersect with the spiritual. This four-day event provides morning lectures on various topics exploring the author C.S. Lewis and “The Art of Being Fully Human,” with Dr. Jerry Root, leading C. S. Lewis expert and editor of “The Quotable Lewis.” The Fest also has entertainment each evening at the Bag End Cafe with the irrepressible Nigel Goodwin, British actor and arts advocate.

Thursday through Sunday mornings Jerry Root will deliver a lecture. An optional bag lunch/BBQ together is provided after each lecture for $10 per person. Each evening at 8 p.m., Nigel Goodwin will host the Bag End Cafe, an improvisational and participatory celebration of the creativity of folks at the KindlingsFest event.

KindlingsFest takes place Thursday, July 17 through Sunday, July 20 at the Orcas Island Community Church (176 Madrona Street).
