Viola Mae Scherer was born October 26, 2010 at the Birth Center in Bellingham, Wash., weighing in at 6 lbs, 14 oz and 19.5 inches long.

She is the daughter of Chris and Megan Scherer of Bellingham.

Her family consists of grandparents Bob and Gail Toombs of Orcas; grandmother Mea Scherer of Bellingham; grandfathers Ron Scherer of Ohio; John Vandebrake of Long Beach, Calif.; and Jim Cox of Ellensburg, Wash.

Her other relatives include aunts Jacqueline Gibson of Spokane, Wash. and Chera Cox of Moscow, ID; aunt and uncle Maria and Tobias Wilson of Seattle; aunt and uncle Kelly and Kim Toombs; uncle Matt Toombs; and cousins, Emily, Maggie, Kali and Joey Toombs, all of Orcas Island; and cousin Mercadez Sullivan of Klamath Falls, Ore.
