Thank you for Orcas Center Gala

Orcas Center is back performing a wide variety of roles in our community. It is the place where classes for all ages are held; where Covid vaccinations are given with live music accompaniment; where islanders and visiting artists can demonstrate their talents; and all of us, locals and visitors alike, can come to experience both the visual and performing arts. It is the place where magic happens. And none of this could happen without the support of Orcas Island businesses and the community at large.

Orcas Center recently held a very successful fundraising Gala and many businesses donated services and/or auction items that received much attention and appreciation from those attending. A huge thank you to these businesses: BOSA Food & Drink, Brown Bear Baking, Buck Bay Shellfish Farm, Chimayo, Country Corner, Darvill’s Bookstore, Deer Harbor Charters, Deschutes River Conservancy, Doe Bay Wine Company, Driftwood Nursery, Hogstone’s Wood Oven, Island Hoppin’ Brewery, Island Pie, Island Skillet, Island Thyme, Kingfish at West Sound, Kucklick Landscape Design/Build, Lascaux Café, Liberté Beauty, Lum Farm, Lummi Island Wild, Matia, Mijitas, New Leaf Café, Norbu’s + Orcas Hotel, Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, Orcas Island Pottery, Syd Exton, Orcas Island Winery, Outlook Inn + New Leaf Café, Pasta Underground, Pawki’s for Pets, Pine Ridge Inn Hotel & Suites, Pizzeria Portofino, Seabird Bakeshop, Shearwater Adventures, Taqueria & Pupusería Delmy, The Barnacle, The Lower Tavern, The Madrona Bar & Grill, The White Horse Pub, Tide Pool Coffeehouse, Voyager Sandwiches, and Wild Island.

Special thanks to Chef Amanda Zimlich of Otter’s Pond B&B who catered the locally-sourced meal, and to Oliver Groenwald and Steve Alboucq who provided a great evening of music.

It takes many hands to put on a successful event. Thanks to those who attended and to those of you who volunteered your time and talents. We are so very grateful to everyone who supports Orcas Center. Because of all of you Orcas Center has a bright future.
