Response to roundup letter | Letter

I would like to add this rebuttal if possible to the letter titled “Roundup and lead cause cancer.”

Personally, I have decided not to use Round-up as I choose to error on the side of caution. However… it would be unfair to manufacturers, retailers, and farmers to outright say it causes cancer.

There has been some disparity in findings related to glyphosate’s potential health risks. The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified glyphosate as “probably carcinogenic to humans” in 2015. However, other organizations, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), have found that glyphosate is unlikely to pose a carcinogenic risk to humans.

When informing the public, it’s vital to present all available data so they can make informed decisions.
