The Holiday GiveOrcas campaign was a great success! All in all, over 700 individuals donated. A remarkable $153,000 was raised, fully funding 16 proposals and significantly funding others. The results are indicative of so much support for the great nonprofits serving this community. Among other many other things, these donations will allow the Funhouse to expand their programs for kids, Art for Orcas Kids (AOK) to advance visual arts in the public school, Orcas Island Library to ensure spanish language programs and books, Orcas Community Resource Center to support financial literacy for islanders, the Agriculture Summit to strengthen local food systems and more.
