Turn Point Lighthouse Preservation Society (TPLPS) received a $2,000 grant on May 25 from the Lighthouse Environmental Program (LEP) connected with Washington Lighthouse License Plate Program, for the purpose of establishing an audio visual room in the mule barn at turn Point on Stuart Island in the San Juans.
Visitors to the Turn Point Museum will now be able to view movies of Eclipse Charter Boat Tours to Turn Point, the first open house of its museum, installatin of Turn Point’s flag pole, and interviews with Dan Alexander, lightkeeper at turn Point during 1949-1951.
Editing and some of the filming was done by Conrad Wrobel, who recently graduated from the Edward R. Murrow School of Broadcasting at WSU.
