Tuesday, Jan. 13 The Ferry Advisory Committee will hold its regular meeting from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the Large Conference Room of the Legislative Bldg., 55 Second Street, Friday Harbor. Land Bank Public Input Session on Fisherman Bay Spit Preserve, 4-6 p.m., Lopez Library Meeting Room. A draft addendum to the Fisherman Bay Spit Preserve Stewardship and Management Plan addressing the reconstruction, management and maintenance of the existing dock is available for public review and comment. Orcas Fire Department will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall. The Eastsound Off Leash Dog Area is inviting the public to a meeting to exchange ideas and share information at 6 p.m. at the Eastsound Fire Hall meeting room. Wednesday, Jan. 14 The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will hold its regular meeting from 10 a.m. to noon in the Large Conference Room of the Legislative Bldg., 55 Second Street, Friday Harbor. Thursday, Jan. 15 WSF/FAC meeting aboard the Inter-Island Ferry, 11:40 a.m. until 2:40 p.m. All Ferries Division departments are working extremely hard to support the development of the long-range plan for the ferry system. The draft plan was released on Friday, Dec. 19 for public review and comment. Public hearings are scheduled for January in ferry communities around the Sound to collect input. FRIDAY, Jan. 16 Planning Commission Meeting, 8:30 a.m., Islanders Bank Annex, 225 Blair Ave., Friday Harbor. Thursday, Jan. 22 The current school bond expires in 2009 and the board is considering a larger bond to allow for new construction and improvements to school facilities. Those interested in participating or learning more can attend the rescheduled workshop at 3 p.m., before the regularly scheduled school board meeting at 5:30 p.m.
