Hughes helps bill pass in state Legislature

Ray’s Pharmacy co-owner Rick Hughes worked on Bill No. 1009 which was passed in the 2025-26 Washington State Legislature session.

It will allow for non-pharmacists and pharmacy owners to sit on the Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission. The commission is responsible for regulating pharmacies, pharmacists and other pharmacy professionals. It plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and quality of pharmaceutical practices within Washington state.
