Jason Bell of Friday Harbor was arrested last week for allegedly delivering methamphetamine and cocaine.
The warrant for Bell, 31, charges him with violating the “Uniform Controlled Substances Act.” He was taken into custody on Jan. 20 without incident and remains in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The arrest is the result of an extensive investigation by Sheriff’s detectives into the trafficking of illicit drugs in island communities.
“The Sheriff’s Office will continue to work tirelessly to hold those responsible for supplying these destructive substances to our community accountable,” said Sheriff Rob Nou. “The devastation methamphetamine and other drugs bring to individuals and families is inconsistent with our island values and cannot be tolerated.”
