Viking boys celebrate win against Mount Vernon Christian

The Vikings beat Mount Vernon Christian during a closely matched game on Jan. 6.

“All of the team helped out with the score,” said coach Dan Drake. “It was a good, tough game. It was tied at halftime. We fought back and really hustled. The kids enjoyed the win.”

The final score was 54-49. The top scorers were Jack Gates with 21 points and Mikail Van Maren with 12. The next home game is against Darrington at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.
