Orcas resident Tim Bonner has released his third book: “COLONY, Derek Crane I.”

In the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, Derek Crane is in a coma and slowly dying. While the medical team tries to save him, Crane enters into another world. The book’s prologue explains that Crane’s extraordinary story was told to Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Jorge Luis Borges by UCLA anthropologist Carlos Castaneda back in 1986.

When Western medicine fails to cure Crane, he is taken to Sonora, Mexico. There, he is put into the hands of two young Yaqui men who are the spiritual and cultural heirs of the shamans don Juan Matus and don Genaro Flores, of whom Castaneda wrote at length. Will the sorcerer shamans be able to bring Crane out of his coma and make him whole again? What allies will the Yaqui use in their journey quest? Find out by reading “COLONY.” Available in paperback and ebook on Amazon now. Tim Bonner is the author of “Doom Saloon” and “Melodyland Opposite Disneyland,” also available on Amazon.
