Vern’s mural to be auctioned

Shelbi Mattila-Patton, new owner of the old Vern’s building in Eastsound, is donating the structure’s iconic mural to the American Legion to be used in a silent auction.
All proceeds will go to the American Legion and its services for veterans and the community.
Tim Pence painted the mural, which is pictured above.
The bid sheet is located at the American Legion on Crescent Beach Road. Bids can be made any time after 4 p.m., seven days a week, at the post home.
