Play group for toddlers and parents meets in March

Attention parents, moms, dads, and even grandparents with 18 month to 3-year-old children. Enjoy the invigoration of the spring, meet other parents, and let your youngster have the experience of a developmentally appropriate social group while still under your protective wings.
Beginning from 10-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 6 and ending Tuesday, April 10 this play group will gather at the home of Jude Nash in Victorian Valley. Activities will include a circle and song time, indoor socializing, outdoor play, bread baking and a shared snack. The schedule of each session remains unvaried so that the child will be able to anticipate each activity, allowing him/her to participate with increasing confidence and anticipation each week. Parents can share parenting questions; children can play and observe other children. The playgroup format is based on the Waldorf School tradition.
Kathi Ciskowski, who has coordinated playgroups on Orcas Island since 1991, will facilitate the group.
