Ray’s Pharmacy hosts first prescription drug take-back

Sergeant Steve Vierthaler received boxes full of prescription medication and personal care products at Ray’s Pharmacy on August 4 as part of the new San Juan County prescription drug take-back program.
Vierthaler said about 50 percent of the items handed in were controlled substances. A steady stream of clients kept him at the pharmacy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
