The Staxx Brothers are playing two nights at The Lower Tavern on Dec. 2 and 3, promoting their appearance on the Band in Seattle TV Christmas Special on the WB channel 11.

The episode involves an incredible roster of local talent performing original songs as well as some public domain classics. The band rewrote “Slow Jam for Christmas” for this special, and says their segment stands out from the other performances in that they crafted one of their trademark music videos with the format of a show capturing live performances.

Band in Seattle presents local and national talent performing in Seattle before a studio audience and tells their stories. It normally airs at 11 p.m. on Saturday nights. The Staxx Brothers said WB was so thrilled about this Christmas episode they gave the show an hour during primetime on Christmas Eve and the previous weekend.

The Staxx Brothers perform at The Lower Tavern at 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3. There is no cover. They say they are thrilled that their latest visit to Orcas is a great platform for them to promote this great program suited for the families that might not catch them regularly performing in bars and nightclubs.
