American Quilter’s Society, the largest quilting membership organization in the world, announced that Sheila Gaquin of Deer Harbor has won the Brother International Corporation Best Wall Stationary Machine Workmanship Award with her quilt “Sign, Sealed, and Delivered” at AQS QuiltWeek in Paducah, Kentucky. The event features close to 700 quilts from around the world. The high point of the show recognizes the artistry of today’s quiltmakers as hundreds of quilters in the contest compete for $126,000 in cash awards.
