“Heart of Orcas,” a celebration of art, music, good food and wine, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 3:30-6 p.m. at OrcaSong Farm. There will be both silent and live auctions featuring art by Orcas artists and “vintage” pieces donated from private collections. There will be both silent and live auction pieces that will include paintings, pottery, quilts, fiber arts, jewelry, wood and metal objects. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Orcas Senior Center to support its programs, activities and operations. If you are an artist willing to donate a piece of your work, or if you have downsized and need to find a new home for some of your collection, you can support the senior center by making a donation.
