2017 free days at Moran State Park

On Sunday, Jan. 1, Washington State Parks will not require the Discover Pass to visit state parks. So, come out and join us for a hike around Cascade Lake. We’ll meet up at the Day Use Area at 9:30 a.m. and will be back in time to observe or participate in the Rowing Club’s annual Polar Bear Plunge at 11 a.m.

Upcoming 2017 State Parks Free Days:

  • Jan. 15 and 16 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • March 19 – Washington State Parks 103rd birthday
  • April 15 – A springtime free Saturday
  • April 22 – Earth Day
  • June 3 – National Trails Day
  • June 10 – National Get Outdoors Day
  • Aug. 25 – National Park Service 101st birthday
  • Sept. 30 – National Public Lands Day
  • Nov. 11 – Veterans Day
  • Nov. 24 – Autumn Free Day

Please note, free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities), A Discover Pass will still be required on these days to access lands managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
