Third year head coach Jason Nichols inherited a very young team and finds himself in his second major rebuilding year with just a 14 player roster.

Nichols will be looking to improve on last year’s one-win season and expects the experience gained last year will enable his Lady Vikings to be more competitive in a very talented league.

“We have a pretty small roster led by two seniors,” said Nichols. “We are building on what we started a couple years ago with younger players in key positions and we hope to start seeing the benefits of that experience. As far as the league, Friday Harbor will be tough. I am pleased to have two new assistant coaches this year, Kassy Taylor and Aliviah Garcia, who are injecting a lot of positive energy into the program.”

The Lady Vikings host the Braves on March 29 for the season double header opener.
