Orcas has strong showing at state track tournament

The Orcas High School track team competed at state the last weekend in May in Yakima, Washington.

Bethany Carter came in second for discus and fifth for shot put; August Moore was seventh in the women’s 3200 race; Malia Martinolich came in eighth for the 400 race; in the 4×100 relay, Diego Lago, Guillermo Sagara Iglesias, Porter Willis and Remy Lago finished sixth; Diego Lago came in third for both triple and long jump. Ethan Moss traveled to the state competition as an alternate.
