The Orcas JV girls basketball team played the Concrete Lions on Dec. 13 and dominated throughout the game. The final score was 42-23.

Hannah Brunner-Gaydos led the team with 12 points, Kilee Rogers 11, Kirsten Fowler 6, Soren Sweet and Arianna Dean with 5 each, Emily Jackson and Jordan McGee with 2 each. Brunner-Gaydos led rebounding with 9, Rogers with 7. Both had 4 steals each.

The JV team went to Sultan on Dec. 17 but had the same results as the varsity team. The Vikings lost, 32-28.

“We were never able to get the lead,” coach Tim Hance said.

Brunner-Gaydos led the Vikings with 9 points, Kilee Rogers 8, Claire O’Neill 4, Kathryn Tidwell 3, and Kirsten Fowler and Alicia Susol with 2 each. Fowler led rebounds with 8. Rogers and Susol finished with 3 steals apiece.
