Girls basketball wins two, loses one

The girls traveled to Cedar Park Christian last week, where they finished with a victory against the Lions, 46-25. The team hosted Darrington on Jan. 13, but did not clinch a win. The girls bounced back with a major win against Evergreen Lutheran the next day, 74-19.

The girls traveled to Cedar Park Christian last week, where they finished with a victory against the Lions, 46-25. Leading scorers were Shelbi Rogers and Lana Bronn with 14 points each. Kathryn Tidwell had 12 rebounds and Susol finished with 4 steals.

The team hosted Darrington on Jan. 13, but did not clinch a win. The final score was 50-36. Bella Nigretto led the Vikings with 16 points. Rogers had 8; Alicia Susol 4; Aliviah Garcia 3; Lana Bronn 2; Kathryn Tidwell 1, as well as 10 rebounds. Susol and Bronn had 3 steals each.

The girls bounced back with a major win against Evergreen Lutheran the next day, 74-19. Nigretto led again with 20 points. Alena Janssen finished with 15; Rogers had 11; Susol had 8; Tidwell and Tamara Klein scored 6; Garcia had 4; Claire O’Neill and Hannah Brunner-Gaydos came in with 2. Susol finished with 10 reounds; Nigretto, Rogers, Susol and Garcia had 3 steals each.
