You will be seeing a new face behind the camera at local events.

The Sounder has hired staff reporter Cali Bagby, who made her way here via the Journal of the San Juans, where she has been a reporter since April 4.

Bagby is a University of Oregon graduate with a degree in journalism. She began work as a freelance journalist in 2009, embedded with a medivac and an infantry unit in Iraq. She was later on assignment with a U.S. Marines infantry unit in Afghanistan.
