Ms. Doyle was appointed to the position of editor by Elyse Van den Bosch, who has been with the newspaper for more than 15 years and has been publisher since 2002.

A search for a new editor is underway. In the interim, Sounder reporters Scott Rasmussen, Nina Laramore and Helen Sanders, along with Richard Walker, editor of the Journal of the San Juans, and Colleen Armstrong of the Islands’ Weekly will continue to cover local events, meetings and breaking news.

All press releases and letters will continue to be sent toeditor@islandssounder.com.
