Scott Gianola | Passages

Scott Gianola passed away in his home on Orcas Island on Dec. 19, 2017.

He was born March 5, 1954 in Seattle, Washington. Scott moved to Orcas Island in the late 1980s. Scott was fortunate to have occupied an Opal home since 1994. Orcas was his home and Scott touched many lives in many different ways.

There will be a potluck celebration of Scott’s life at the Odd Fellows Hall on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 1 p.m. Let us break bread together (bring your favorite dish). Scott would love it if you brought your own plate, cup and silverware. Oh, and bring your own drink. No waste!

Scott was an avid, bicyclist, yoga instructor, barista, cook and a musicologist, of sorts.

Scott is survived by his cat Sarah Vaughn, his mother Peggy Gianola, brothers, Fred, (Gino) Gianola, Jack Gianola and his sister, Marie Gianola, plus six nephews, Tommy, Gabriel, Micah, Joshua, Tristan and Jack.

Donations in memory of Scott may be made to the Orcas Island Food Bank or the Orcas Animal Shelter.
