Louise Saunders passed away on June 3, 2011 peacefully at home. He was 86. Louie was born on April 4, 1925 in Zilla, Wash. to William and Lillian Saunders. The family moved to Bothell, Wash. After graduation, he joined Dairygold Inc., where he remained his entire career before moving to Orcas Island in the late 1990s.

Louie shared his many gifts, knowledge, determination, and the ability to organize complex ideas into straightforward plans; mentoring to so many. He enjoyed family and friends and was married in August 31 1947 to Evelyn Semmons. Louie and Evelyn Saunders had two children Raymond and Evelou whom he loved dearly. Louie is survived by his daughter Evelou, three siblings, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

We will all remember Louie’s wonderful smile. In his honor, a memorial potluck gathering will be held at the Orcas Island Senior Center, 62 Henry Drive, Eastsound, Wash. in the Lundee Room, Sunday, June 2, 2012 at 11 a.m.
