James David Cole | Passages

Feb. 4, 1949 to Jan. 8, 2020

James David Cole departed this world on Jan. 8, 2020, after a long illness. He was born on Feb. 4, 1949, in Tazewell, Tennessee, the son of James and Evelyn Joyce (Trovillo) Cole.

James served his country in the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. In 1970, he served as an Honor Guard for President Nixon’s Marine One helicopter in El Toro, California. James loved the Seahawks and was an avid fan of theirs.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Green, and brother Jack (Jean) Greene. He is preceded in death by his father J.B. Cole, stepdad Nolan G. Greene, brother Timothy and his soul mate Sherrie Anderson.

The family wishes to thank Peace Health Hospice of Bellingham, Washington for their care of James through his final days.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21 at the Woodlawn Cemetery on Orcas.
