Gary A. Hart | Passages

Gary A Hart, age 66, passed away at home on April 23, 2017.

Gary is preceded in death by his father Roy Hart, mother Agnes Hart and son Tony Hart.

Gary was born in Spokane, Wash. on May 3, 1950. He graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1968. Gary spent the better part of his life working as an auto parts specialist with various companies, including 20 years at Napa Auto Parts of Eastsound, Wash.

Gary is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 24 years, Melinda Hart. Gary is also survived by his daughter Tanyalee Hart of Marysville, stepchildren Brittanya Grillo of Ohio, Chad Tanis of Marysville, Justin Dennis of Granite Falls, sisters Cheree Neubauer of Arlington, Susan Holland of Granite Falls, Linda Smith of California, Cary Ann Fanning of Eatonville, Tracy Hall of Eatonville, grandchildren Cody, Nelly, and Tyshawn, great-grandchildren Kolton, and his pups who he loved dearly, Bailey and Teddy.

Gary enjoyed walks on the beach, beautiful sunsets, watching wildlife as well as life itself. Many times along his path in life, Gary would attempt to write; he loved mysteries. But somehow life got in the way, as well as work to keep the bills paid. Upon his retirement in 2015, due to the start of what would be his many battles of illnesses, he began to write again. He almost accomplished his first book, very good I must say; maybe he will finish his story now. Gary will be remembered for his knowledge, his gentle spirit, his kindness and his love of laughter and always looking for the brighter side of life.

Special thanks to all the loving people of ORCAS ISLAND for your support and love while he battled through the many illnesses. Gary felt the love and was proud to call ORCAS his home. Gary was loved by many and will be missed by all!!
