Born July 5, 1953, in Fairbanks, Alaska, Ellen died Feb. 4, 2020 in Bellingham, Washington.

Ellen moved to Orcas in 2001 after her mother’s passing and adopted the island as her home. She worked at Island Market and Key Bank from which she retired in 2019 as lead teller after endearing herself to many customers. Her parents, Robert F, and Rita J. Scott and a brother, Charles F. predeceased her.

Ellen is survived by her brother Peter F. Scott and her sister, Kristin S. Brown. A private graveside service was held Feb. 15. In her memory, please donate to the local animal shelter or charity of your choice and practice random acts of kindness.
