October 22, 1985 – April 5, 2012

“And then suddenly … he is gone. In shock and sorrow, we say goodbye to one great guy.”

Daniel Henry Gilmore, 26, of Vancouver, Wash., left us on April 5, 2012. He was born in Yakima, Wash. to Bradley Gilmore and Rebecca Martin Knight. He lived in Ballard, Orcas Island and Vancouver, Wash., graduating from Mountain View High School in 2004.

Dan made friends easily, had a big heart and a great big laugh. Everyone called him “happy.”

He leaves behind his parents; brother, Nick Gilmore; step-brothers, Max Walker and Adam Walker; step-sister, Ashley Walker; recently arrived niece, Peyton; nephew, Lucas; step-mom, Nancy Walker; and best friends, Dave Neely, Mike Drew and Zack Halcumb.

May we all stay strong and as Danny always said as he was leaving “See ya before ya know it.”
