Betty Lou Acey | Passages

Betty Lou Acey passed away peacefully into the Lord’s arms on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at Marysville Care Center in Marysville, Washington. She was born Betty Lou Nelson on August 2, 1935, in Bremerton, Washington, and lived most of her early life in Port Orchard, Washington, where she graduated from South Kitsap High School.

Betty moved to Orcas Island with her family in 1972 and worked at the school in Eastsound where he met and loved many of the students. She then went to work at Rosario for many years in the accounting department. Betty enjoyed her time on the island especially the quiet, slow life that is to be had there.

She is survived by her two children, Brian Acey of Everett and Suzette Acey of Marysville; two sisters, Dee Nelson of Westport and Cheryl Pasternak of Silverdale as well as a brother, Charles Nelson of Fresno, California. Other relatives who survive her include her grandchildren, Evan, Molly and Rebecca and great grandchild, Ezeriah as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is greatly missed and our hearts are with her. We remember her with love and her kindness to all.
