The Orcas Island Community Foundation has set dates for two best practice workshops.

“Creating Meaningful Financial Reports” will be offered by Kathy Wehle on Friday, Feb. 26 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Eastsound Fire Hall.

The goal of the workshop is to give attendees a better understanding of the minimum financial records needed for their organization and some new ideas on financial reporting for their boards. There is a $15 fee for the first participant from any one nonprofit; additional participants are $10 each.

The second workshop will be the ever popular “Board Boot Camp,” presented by Kate Janeway, on May 6 from 10 to 2 p.m., location TBD. Cost for this class is $25 per participant, with lunch provided.
