Orcas Island Fire and Rescue is actively responding to reports of a number of vehicles off the road or blocking traffic all over the island.

At approximately 12 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, the scanner began ringing with reports of cars blocking the road on Flaherty’s hill, toward the Orcas Highlands. Calls continued saying that Crow Valley Road between Orcas Road and West Beach road were blocked, as well as Orcas Road south of Eastman Road being undrivable as of last reports.
