The 13th Annual Bill Yarlot Fishing Derby sponsored by Friends of Moran and Eastsound Sporting Goods took place at Moran State Park on April 24.

Despite the heavy early morning rainfall, more than 20 kids showed up to drop a line into cascade lake to take home a rainbow trout and a prize donated by local businesses. First place was hooked by Will Stephens, pictured above with his dad Andrew of Orcas Island.

Market, and Philip Miller provided prize donations and volunteer time.
