I am supporting Bill Watson for San Juan County Council, District 1, because it is unusual for a county government to have the opportunity to benefit from such a qualified, knowledgeable and committed leader and collaborator as Bill.

For six years I worked with Bill on the board of a local nonprofit. “In the trenches,” Bill displayed a special capacity to grasp complicated issues quickly, listen carefully and propose workable solutions – all with wit and profound respect for others. He brings a history of people and organizational management, critical thinking and problem solving. His grasp of how to effectively and successfully move ahead on issues such as affordable rental housing, agriculture, jet noise, clarified land use and environmental regulations, sound financial management and an efficient, accountable, transparent and inspired county government will serve our county well.
