Washington State Ferries invites its riders to take home a souvenir of Washington State Ferries (WSF) to commemorate and celebrate 60 years of service.

“In honor of our 60 years of service, customers can purchase a memento of the ferry system,” said Assistant Secretary David Moseley. “There are many items to choose from, and the proceeds help benefit our marine highways.”

WSF and its advertising and marketing company Trans4media have launched FerryGear.com, where official WSF merchandise is for sale, including a Limited Edition Rub with Love® from famed Seattle restaurateur Tom Douglas.

“We’re excited to partner with WSF and Tip Top Creative on this venture,” said Trans4Media Chief Operating Officer Larry Adams. “It was a privilege to bring together these two Seattle icons – Washington State Ferries and legendary chef Tom Douglas. Tourists and regular customers alike will appreciate the chance to show off their support for our beloved WSF system.”

FerryGear.com also offers T-shirts, mugs, stainless steel water bottles, baseball caps and lapel pins.

Some items bear the WSF 60th anniversary logo, and there are a variety of designs to appeal to a broad audience.  The ferry merchandise is also for sale in the galleys on the vessels, Colman Dock News in Seattle, and the Cheesecake Café at the Anacortes terminal.

“The ferry system is an important economic engine for our communities” said Duane Clark, ferry customer and Anacortes ferry advisory committee chair. “I’m glad we have the opportunity to purchase merchandise commemorating 60 years of marine transportation.”
