View Montessori School auction items online

Orcas Montessori School will be hosting its May Day Party and Auction at Inn at Ship Bay on Saturday, May 1.

In anticipation of this festive event, an online preview of auction items is available on the school’s website, www.orcasmontessori.org

For those with schedule conflicts or a strong desire to secure an item, bids can be placed on specific items until 5 p.m. on April 30.

In addition to the Olga symphony and local musicians Mary Giampietro and Renae Keep on ukulele and fiddle, guests will enjoy hearty hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chefs Geddes Martin and Everett Brooks. A wide variety of silent auction items will be displayed for bidding throughout the room. Montessori head guide Tom Rubottom will serve as auctioneer for the live auction that caps off the night at 8 p.m.

Advance tickets are $20 and available now at Darvill’s Bookstore, Ray’s Pharmacy & Orcas Montessori School. Tickets at the door are $25.

All proceeds from the evening will support Orcas Montessori School. For children ages two and a half to six, Orcas Montessori School uses the world renowned Montessori method to promote development, initiative and a love of learning. The school relies on fundraising events like our May Day auction in order to keep tuition affordable and to provide scholarships for those who need financial assistance.

Due to limited parking, guests are respectfully encouraged to carpool to the event. Regular updates are available on our Facebook page or www.orcasmontessori.org.
