Veterans Day is about honoring ordinary people who have accomplished the extraordinary.

The American Legion Post 93 in Eastsound held a Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Nov. 11. Post members spoke to a packed room of community members. The room was decorated with two large signs adorned with special messages for veterans from Orcas School students.

Nathaniel Stevens wrote, “Thank you for serving our country – it gives me a great deal of gratitude to see the men and women of America give their lives to protect the U.S.”
