Building the self-esteem of Orcas

“Building the self-esteem of Orcas Island” will be held on Tuesday, May 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Orcas Island High School Cafeteria. Admission is by donation. Bill and Linda McGrane travel the world building the self-esteem and life skills of individuals, couples, families, businesses, educational organizations, governments, healthcare industries, and all aspects of community. They run McGrane Global Centers, giving people the tools and teachings of “TUL” – Total Unconditional Love, which transforms lives and allows people to move into greatness. The teenage brain

There is an upcoming parent workshop called “A Road Map to the Amazing Teenage Brain” on Thursday, May 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Orcas Island School Library. It is free. Trillium Swanson, MA, a youth and adult counselor on Orcas, and Emily Aring, a self-development coach and parent of a 16-year-old, share a “101” on the changes that occur within the brain from ages 12 to 24.
