The Lopez Center for Community and the Arts will be presenting America’s Cowboy Review, “The World Loves a Cowboy” on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

No one individual has captured the hearts and imagination of the world more than the North American Cowboy according to the presenters. They say that the cowboy’s exploits, courage, and integrity are admired by people of all races, ages and walks of life. The cowboys’ impact on the development and growth of Western North America is immeasurable.

Award winning Western Artist’s TJ Casey (Shorty) and Jim Reader (Stretch) have been recognized by their peers as two of the most talented cowboy songwriters and story-tellers within the true Cowboy entertainment genre in America today. They represent both sides of the border of great western ranching regions rich in cowboy culture with Casey hailing from Montana and Reader from Alberta.

Casey and Reader’s performances are wholesome, clean entertainment fun for the whole family. The performance features songs of the west, heart warming poetry, and humorous cowboy stories. Performances are billed as giving audiences an opportunity to smell the sage, feel the traildust and hear the wind through the pines. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for youths. They are available in advance from the Community Center office and online in addition to being sold at Paper Scissors on the Rock, Blossoms Organic Grocery, Islehaven Books and Islandale Southender and at the door the night of the performance.
