“Tango for all” classes

A four-class series entitled “Tango for all, using the Feldenrkais Method® of Somatic Education” will be held at Oddfellows Hall on Thursdays, 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., from June 17 to July 8.

This is a class for people who love the tango and love to dance, or for those who think they “can’t” dance, and aren’t particularly drawn to the tango. It’s a course about discovering tango from the ground up.

“Tango and dances are just walking in modified patterns to music,” says teacher Chris Elms. “Discovering our own patterns will enable everyone to succeed. The goal and the means is listening and enjoyment. Listening to and enjoying the music; listening to and enjoying your own body and movement; listening to and enjoying how your communication with your partner is going.”

Classes are $5-10 for one person and $10-15 for any pairing up. The course is open to all ages.
