Ballroom dancing has received a shot in the arm with the advent of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Come and learn many of the steps in the Swing, Fox Trot, Rumba, Cha Cha, Waltz and Tango. Back by popular demand, Orcas Center is offering the Summer Ballroom Dance class series with Lynn Richards and his dance partners. This popular six-week series is open to couples and individuals and will be taught in the Madrona Room on Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m.. The session runs July 9 through August 13. The tuition is $60 for the series for couples and singles. Single class tuition is $15 per couple and $10 for singles.
