During Orcas Spa and Athletics’ October group fitness launch, owners Angela and Thaddeus Douglas donated all ticket proceeds to the local Mercy Flight program that helps transports cancer patients.

That same month, the Islands’ Sounder donated 10 percent of proceeds from its cancer support special section to the program.

In late November, Angela and Sounder publisher/editor Colleen Smith Armstrong presented checks to Audrey Wells of the Orcas Aviation Association, which administers the Mercy Flight program.
