This week marks the third session for the Small Business Success class, one of the many adult classes being held at the Funhouse.

Taught by Jamie Stephens from Lopez Island, this class is a collaboration between the Funhouse, the Economic Development Council, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Green Business Alliance.

Students of this class are learning techniques that will help their businesses grow. Some students have existing businesses, others are building a new one, and some are looking at starting their very first enterprise. Everyone in the class is refining their vision of what they want their livelihood to look like. Business ideas range from accounting, to importing, construction, retail, farming, and inn-keeping.

“It is a very informative class, and a service to the community,” said Matthew Mahr of STEM, a company that designs and builds affordable housing.
