Orcas island resident David Schermerhorn has been featured in a Seattle Weekly article by Nina Shapiro titled, "David Schermerhorn, Orcas Island Octogenarian Arrested Last Year by Israelis, Joins New Flotilla to Gaza."

Orcas Island resident and former film producer David Schermerhorn has been featured in a Seattle Weekly article by Nina Shapiro titled, “David Schermerhorn, Orcas Island Octogenarian Arrested Last Year by Israelis, Joins New Flotilla to Gaza.”

Schermerhorn is now en route to Gaza aboard The Audacity of Hope, a US ship taking part in an international flotilla attempt to break through the Israeli blockade to reach Gaza.

This will be Schermerhorn’s sixth trip toward Gaza.
