The San Juan Preservation Trust’s 30th Anniversary Summer Social, to be held Saturday, Aug. 8 from 3 to 6 p.m., will be at Arcady Farm on Orcas.
The Preservation Trust is holding this event in collaboration with the artists of Plein Air Washington (PAWA). PAWA artists can be seen throughout the islands painting SJPT-protected properties and other island landscapes.
Crow Valley Pottery and Gallery located in Eastsound will display and auction the paintings at the Summer Social and in the weeks that follow at the gallery, with partial proceeds benefiting the Preservation Trust. Artists will also be painting at Arcady Farm on the day of the event.
Tim Seifert, Executive Director of the Preservation Trust, will be giving a guided tour of Turtleback Mountain, starting at the South trailhead parking lot at 1 p.m.
