Property taxes due

Submitted by SJC

San Juan County Treasurer, Rhonda Pederson would like to remind county property owners that the second half of property taxes and personal property taxes are due Monday, Oct. 31.

Payments received in person, via our secure payment box or postmarked after the October 31 deadline are automatically charged 1% interest on outstanding balances. PLEASE plan ahead to avoid interest charges. Our secure payment drop box is located at the Court House entrance on the Sheriff’s side of the building. If mailing your payment, the envelope must be federally postmarked on or before Oct. 31 for the payment to be considered on time.

Running short on time or don’t have checks? Take advantage of our convenient online payment options by visiting our website at www.sanjuanco.com/314/Treasurer. Payments may also be made using our automated phone attendant by calling 877-816-9299. These are contracted services and processing fees apply.

Taxpayers enrolled in our autopay program should expect the second half payment for the amount listed on your second half tax payment coupon to debit your account on October 25, 2022. Use the San Juan County property search feature by going to the parcel search page.
